You will find this stunning village in the eastern region of Mallorca. Sant Llorens des Cardassar is notable for many things, including its architecture. An example of this is the beautiful Baroque church of Sant Llorens, which is situated in the heart of the village and, together with the Basilica of Son Peretó, is one of the must-visit places.
Situated in Porto Cristo, you will find the spectacular caves known as Coves dels Hams. If we had to describe these caves in one sentence, it would be Nature’s work of art. They have been open to the public since 2015 and, because of this, you can visit and discover the different areas of this spectacular part of Mallorca.
The Coves dels Hams feature 3 different caves where you can see and admire all types of stalactites and stalagmites. These three caves are: la redonda (the round one), la azul (the blue one) and la clásica (the classic one). They all have different characteristics. In some of them you will even be able to enjoy a music show on the water.
As it is situated on the coast, you can enjoy all types of water sports in Sa Coma. On Sa Coma Beach, you can practice or try all types of new sports. But that’s not all, one of the activities we most highly recommend during your holiday in Mallorca is diving and snorkelling. That way, you will can discover all of Mallorca’s seabed.
You can snorkel near the beach, but also take a boat trip to reach deeper areas where you will discover all the marine animals of the Mediterranean Sea. You can enjoy seeing all types of fish and animals, but also discovering the Mediterranean Posidonia sea-grass beds, known as the lungs of our sea.
You can go on all types of trips in Mallorca. Whether its hiking, bike riding, or even horse riding! Throughout Mallorca, you can enjoy different routes that you will love. From the flattest routes for the less experienced, to routes with inclines in the Tramuntana Mountain Range. You will enjoy incredible views on all of them.
However, a different way of enjoying these routes is on horseback. In Sa Coma, you will find places where you can go horse riding in Mallorca. You will ride through some spectacular forests which lead out onto beautiful beaches, and you can even ride your horse in the sea!
In Sa Coma there are different beaches where you can enjoy Mallorca’s sun and good weather. The most famous of these are Son Serra de Marina and Canyamel. Son Serra de Marina is an incredible sandy beach with crystal clear waters where you can relax and enjoy the sun, but it is also one of Mallorca’s best-known beaches for surfing.
Alternatively, Canyamel beach has golden sand and it will be very easy to relax here. It is a very quiet place which is mostly visited by locals. It is also surrounded by a nature reserve.
One of the places you simply must visit during your stay in Sa Coma is Sa Punta de n’Amer Castle. Situated in a Natural Area of Special Interest, it is located between the two famous beaches of Cala Millor and Sa Coma. Here you will find a beautiful tower. To reach it, you simply need to take a short trip of a little more than 2.5 kilometres.
During the day, you can visit the tower and go inside it free of charge. This tower was built in the 17th century to prevent pirates from entering. From the top, you can enjoy panoramic views of the entire bay of Sa Coma and Cala Millor.
